Andres Iniesta gets standing ovation from Espanyol fans

While his Barcelona teammates got water bottles thrown at them and Messi got yelled at by a crazy woman in a fur coat (0:50 into the video) as they trounced city rivals Espanyol 5-1 on Saturday, Andres Iniesta had the crowd singing his name and giving him standing ovations.

Last month, Iniesta presented the famous "Dani Jarque always with us" undershirt he revealed after scoring the winning goal in the World Cup final to Espanyol for public display. And on Sunday, despite the fierce ongoing rivalry between the two clubs, Espanyol fans showed their gratitude for Iniesta's generosity in the form of "Gracias Iniesta" signs around the stadium, chants of his name and standing ovations when he was first introduced and when he was substituted in the 86th minute.

It was overwhelming warmth that perfectly exemplified the holiday season and I'm sure Andres appreciated it.

Meanwhile, Messi is probably wondering what he could give Espanyol in order to get that lady in the fur coat to stop screaming at him.
