DTotD: Galatasaray fans attack Fenerbahce U-17 players

The violent rivalry between Galatasaray and Fenerbahce is well documented, but this shows that even kids aren't immune to the disturbing rage the fans of these two clubs hold for each other. Thirteen members of Fenerbahce's Under-17 team had to be taken to the hospital after a group of Galatasaray fans invaded the pitch and attacked them as they tried to go back into the dressing rooms for halftime of a youth match in Istanbul. The fans got involved after an argument between two opposing players.

As you can see in the video, the young Fenerbahce players were clearly shaken up by the incident that left one of them with a broken nose. And understandably so.

I'm sure they're all looking forward to playing those derby matches with the senior team one day and getting savagely attacked all over again. Hooray!
