Martin Kaymer believes he can end his seven-month wait for a win by retaining his title at this week’s KLM Dutch Open.

After toppling Lee Westwood as world number one early in the year, the German, who is 33/1 with bet365 to triumph in Hilversum, has struggled to find his top form and has recorded just two top-ten finishes in his last eight events.
But the 26-year-old showed at the European Masters last week that he is almost back to his best after finishing runner-up to Thomas Bjorn in Switzerland.
He held a one-shot lead with four holes to play but was overtaken by a late surge from Bjorn, and is optimistic that his next win is just around the corner.
“It definitely feels like I will win again in the next couple of weeks,” he said.
“I’m hitting the ball very well. I like the golf course and I can drive there from home – it’s only two hours away and it’s nice to have your own car.”
