Ramsey set for Arsenal return after 370 days out

Arsene Wenger has confirmed that Aaron Ramsey will be part of Arsenal’s squad to face Sunderland having returned to North London from his loan spell at Cardiff.

The Welsh international, who has not appeared for the Gunners in 370 days since breaking his leg against Stoke last season, has been treated with caution by the coaching staff at the Emirates since proving his fitness in reserve team action.

Loaned to Nottingham Forest before Christmas, the 20-year-old has garnered more first team action in the last month having returned to his former club.

Set to be an important part of Arsenal’s run in it would appear that Arsene Wenger could deploy his talented starlet as substitute against Steve Bruce’s side with Cesc Fabregas and Alexandre Song both not ready to play.
