The Weekend Six PackThe Weekend Six Pack

Each week Rob Hartnett from 188BET will bring you six of the best football betting opportunities from the weekend action.  Rob is the betting ambassador for leading the leading In Play betting specialists and appears regularly on the Bolton, Wigan, Chelsea, Aston Villa, Liverpool and Everton websites doing betting previews.

Last week we turned a nice profit from the six pack and hopefully it will be more of the same as we look to the Barclays Premier League and Serie A for our weekly joy of six.

All the odds quoted are available at time of writing with In-Play specialists, 188BET

March 5th-6th

Birmingham to beat West Brom @ 2.40

West Brom’s last clean sheet was against Leyton Orient on August 24th 2010.  A full 29 games ago. They have only won two points from a possible 21 away to sides in the bottom half of the table and Birmingham have a strong 6-2-1 record over them in recent seasons at St Andrews.  Birmingham are not as strong at home as they were a year ago but last weekend will see confidence soaring and they really should be shorter.

Bolton to beat Aston Villa @ 2.28

Bolton have won seven of eleven home games since October.  They are unbeaten in ten games at home to sides below them in the Premier League table and they won four of the six games they played in all competitions last month.  Villa have improved but they have taken only one point from 21 away against sides in the top half of the table and will have been knocked by Wednesday’s hefty defeat at Man City.

Blackburn (+0.5) at Fulham @ 2.25

We have consistently opposed Blackburn on the road and profited from their run of six defeats conceding 19 goals.  All runs come to an end though and Fulham are a very short price for a team that has only won six games all season.  Blackburn have scored nine goals in the four away games they have played against sides below Fulham, winning two of those and can get something from this game.

West Ham to beat Stoke @ 2.25

Stoke are struggling on the road this year with four defeats and not a goal scored.  They have lost ten of their fourteen away games over the season and West Ham’s victory over Liverpool last season showed that they remain up for the survival battle they face.  They have scored 15 goals in front of their home fans since the start of the year and should have too much firepower for Stoke who may instead be using this as a scouting mission for next week’s FA Cup quarter final.

Juventus and AC Milan +2.5 goals @ 2.21

Milan have the best away record in Serie A and no team has conceded more goals at home than Juventus.  With victories already this season though over both the Milan sides, they remain dangerous opponents.  This ficture has produced 14 goals in the last three meetings at the Stadio Delle Alpi and I was surprised at the odds on offer about there being three or more on Saturday evening.

Liverpool to beat Man United @ 2.75

United have won the last three meetings but all were at Old Trafford.  They have won fewer games on the road than Newcastle or Blackpool this season and have only won five of the last 23 games away to sides in the top half of the table.  Liverpool’s home record is the fourth best in the Premier League and they have won the last two renewals at Anfield.
